The Problem

Ever wonder why your vinyl records crackle, hiss or pop? The culprit is likely Montan Wax.

Montan wax ester is added to the vinyl record compound to provide for good release of the record from the stamper at the record pressing facility.

If more than the required amount of montan wax ester is used, the excess amount is not absorbed into the surface of the record.

The presence of excess montan wax ester results in non-uniformity in the surface of the record, particularly as related to the friction between the stylus and the groove. This non-uniformity produces noise when the record is played.

The Solution

Wax Wash is a superior vinyl record cleaner made in Australia, by for the World.

Wax Wash is made with the finest ingredients available to ensure that every vinyl record performs at its peak.

Directions

1

Place your vinyl record on a flat, clean, lint-free surface. Remove any dust from the surface of your record using a carbon-fibre brush.

2

Coat the surface of Side A of your record in Wax Wash, ensuring that the label is well protected. Once coated, allow the record to sit for 10-15 seconds to ensure that the Wax Wash infiltrates the grooves.

3

Using one of lint-free cloths provided, clean the record in an anti-clockwise direction from the centre to the edge. Then, in a clockwise direction from the edge to the centre. Repeat the process using the second lint-free cloth until record surface is dry and sparkling.

4

Repeat the process in Step 3 on Side B of the record. Once completed listen to the record. If there is still noticeable popping, crackling or hissing, repeat steps 2-4.

Feedback

Can't recommend this stuff enough! I buy alot of new and used records and the sound difference is amazing! Highly recommended!

Great product that has to be seen to be believed, delivers noticeable improvement in noise reduction, both to listen to and viewing via waveform analysis.

Wax Wash = UNBEATABLE! Washes my wax like no other!

Recieved cork turntable mat, arrived in a couple of days, great quality, great service, highly recommended!!!

This product is a bloody ripper! My records have all generally come from op shops where it seems they have been since the dawn of time, but this cleaned them up to sound brand-new again. Absolute bargain too. Can't go wrong.

Well, I have tried all manner of products that have all sorts of claims, but, I have a couple of LP's in original format that I've been rather sad about, I've done a couple of cleans with Wax Wash and the results are just beyond expectations.
